barebox v2025.03.0 has been released
This month's release improves hardware support across a number of SoCs: #rk3588 and sama5d2 drivers, field-return support on the i.MX8M, AM6x processors can now boot from eMMC, and eMMC trim has been greatly sped up.
In addition, @dok 's patches for first sunxi support have landed and the generic barebox 2nd stage image can now run on different A64 boards like the #Pinephone.

Thank you @geerlingguy for this video!
Spoiler : 1.2 tok/s for a R1 distill 14B on RPI 16GB, it was kind of expected; obviously disappointing. The RK3588 won't be much faster than this therefore. These boards aren't exactly cheap but more versatile and better supported than exotic SBCs, not the same purpose than miniPCs either in this price range too..

anyon_e is a DIY Linux laptop with an RK3588 processor, OLED display, and custom aluminum chassis
There’s no shortage of laptop computers available for purchase these days. But finding one with the precise features you want can be trickier – so Byran Huang decided to design one from scratch using a combination of readily available components (like a processor module, display, and mechanical keyboard) and custom designs for parts like a mainboard and chassis.
The resulting laptop is […]
