PaulIt's time for another <a href="https://pixelfedsweden.se/discover/tags/MusicMonday?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MusicMonday</a>, and this time we are changing genre a bit — even if the music remains atmospheric and dreamy. This week I would like to recommend Carbon Based Lifeforms, in particular their 2006 album World of Sleepers. Carbon Based Lifeforms create meticulously thought-through electronic music, which probably fits best under the label psychedelic ambient if we need to find a label for it. I like how this music is not soulless or straight boring as a lot of ambient can be, but at the same time not too intense to be in the background. It is like a painting that fits well enough in the room to not immediately draw intention, but at the same time is interesting and touching when you look at it. I like several of their albums, but I think World of Sleepers is a great place to start to explore Carbon Based Lifeforms. I also think it is one of their more beat-forward releases, which I personally like. Also, I am a sucker for the cover art. My friends call me Fox or Kayls, though my artist name is TetraChromacy. Lol Funny, because I used to be one of those stuck up metal elitists who wouldn’t listen to anything if it wasn’t in dropped D tuning or lower with lots of growls and all that. Don’t get me wrong, I still dig metal, but I like to paint with more than just gunmetal grey and metallic shades. Outside of music things, I’m <a class="hashtag" href="https://imm.erge.to/tag/visuallyimpaired" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#visuallyImpaired</a>/#Blind, <a class="hashtag" href="https://imm.erge.to/tag/actuallyautistic" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ActuallyAutistic</a>, <a class="hashtag" href="https://imm.erge.to/tag/trans" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Trans</a>, a <a class="hashtag" href="https://imm.erge.to/tag/gamer" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Gamer</a>, I believe in radical acceptance of all peoples and only judge based on perceived behavior, am a university student dual majoring in computer science and elementary education with a focus on STEM, sadly approaching middle aged but still live life as though I just got out of the nest yesterday, and I live in the Midwest with my girlfriend and our three cats.
