Our daughter Ellie rescued two rats destined to be snake food. I'm so proud! She's housing them in her room.
I missed having our mice so they are a welcome addition.

The trip to the knife store with my daughter yesterday was a blast! Her and the one salesman were wearing the same Buck Knives shirt. She got to handle multiple knives, some over $1,000, one closer to $2k. We also got to see two Spyderco Sprint Run knives, special runs of their most popular models, usually with exotic blade steel. These hadn't been released to the public yet. We also spoke with an older man who complimented Ellie's purple Kizer knife during a "pocket check." Fun day!

My daughter really likes these private screenings. I can't complain, they're nice. The movie we saw was "Novacaine" and it was pretty good for a movie made with an $18 million budget. It proves you don't need half a billion dollars to make a good movie.
I'm eating here at the dinner table and my daughter is writing a short story while listening to Spotify, and what comes on? The Smiths! I had nothing to do with that. That kid is alright.
