i don't know if anybody here cares but for the last 5 days or so turkish people all over the country have risen to resist against tyranny and lawlessness. hunderds of thousands, if not millions, are out in demostrations to retrieve rule of law and free political prisoners (istanbul mayor ekrem imamoğlu was jailed on faux charges which led the people to take the streets). not so surprisingly, peaceful protesters, most of whom are university students, were met with police brutality; being targeted by harsh lynchings, pepper spray, plastic bullets, pressurized water/pepper spray mix sprayed directly onto demonstrators by toma vehicles etc. thankfully no lives have been lost yet but injury reports are constantly flowing onto social media.
turkish stock market has lost billions in value, along with the national bank's reserves. thr currency has also commited a nosedive.
