*flops* I am mainly done with my must-dos for the day. Work is done bar a few invoices that just filtered out, and I got an Etsy order to the postbox. So yes, two orders this month -- it's a start. Like, between Etsy and my self-hosted, I've had 12 sales this year. I figured I'd mention that just to make clear how little love I get, ha ha. No pressure on anyone reading this, but like. There you go.

(and why I should get over my reticence and big myself up more, but *ANYWAYS* that is a Whole Entire Mood ><)

Today's to-do list involves remaking the bracelet I shipped out today, and making disability pride stuff. I genuinely don't know why my brain didn't immediately go MAKE THIS NOW, but yeah. Keep an eye out for that. I've got in mind the dice pair (bracelet/necklace), and if I can render it to my satisfaction, cross-stitch stuff too. I'm unsure I can do it to the accuracy I like since the colours are intentionally undersaturated, but we'll see. We'll see.

Right. Onward, etc.

#SaltLakeCity and #BoiseIdaho make #PrideFlags official city emblems, skirting flag ban laws

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Democratic controlled cities of Salt Lake City and Boise adopted new city flags this week showing support for LGBTQ+ people in defiance of their states’ Republican-controlled Legislatures, which have banned traditional rainbow pride flags at schools and government buildings.

"Utah’s capital of Salt Lake City created new flag designs while Boise, the capital of Idaho, made the traditional pride flag one of its official city flags. The move in Utah came hours before a ban on unsanctioned flag displays took effect Wednesday."

I'm chuffed. The weather today is cool enough that we were able to crack the windows rather than having to rely on the a/c to keep indoors.

Only thing on the agenda is caring for the neighbour's cats. I make a point to send updates every time I go over, which I don't know if it's super useful, but it amuses me to do so. Well, I mean, it's probably nice to be reassured that all cats have been spotted and confirmed alive, ha ha.

Oh, and I guess I'm making some abrosexual dice jewellery. I had some new dice come in and it gave me colours close enough to appease me. I've got the necklace started, so just need to get that and a bracelet done and listed. Which groan, all sorts of steps between that and now, but *anyways*.

Trans-intersex aka transgender-intersex: An #intersex person whose gender identity does not match the one assigned by doctors/parents at birth, and identifies as #transgender. Because we intersex people have complex relationships with gender, please note that not all intersex people with genders different than their birth assignment identify as trans.

Please note this is an intersex-exclusive term. Sometimes perisex (non-intersex) people who want mixed sex characteristics will ignorantly say they want to "transition to intersex". This reflects harmful misconceptions about what intersex is: there is no single kind of intersex body, it ignores how intersex is a social experience, and disrespects the intersex community by not bothering to learn about us and our struggles. (The term for people who want to transition to mixed sex characteristics is altersex

#NAZIflags can fly in #UtahSchools, but not #Prideflags :pride:, #GOP lawmaker says

#HB0077 #TrevorLee proposed new legislation to ban the Pride flags not just in Public schools, but in any government building or on any government property.

The bill also allows for the flying of a 'historic version of a flag that is temporarily displayed for 'educational purposes' including the Confederate Flag and the #Swatsika flag.

"A Republican lawmaker in Utah has proposed new legislation that would restrict the display of flags on government property to only certain approved flags. According to this proposal, Pride flags would be banned from being displayed in public schools and government buildings, while Nazi and Confederate flags could still be permitted for “educational purposes.”

Utah Rep. Trevor Lee, representing an area about 20 miles from Salt Lake City, proposed the bill that initially only applied to schools. An updated version of the proposed legislation was released Thursday before a House Education Committee hearing expanding the restrictions on flags to all government buildings."
