Les « Poèmes constitutionnels » sont une série de 89 courts articles conçus par génération statistique à partir de la Constitution française du 4 octobre 1958, en vigueur aujourd’hui. À la relecture de ce texte fondateur de notre système politique, je (re)découvre sa tonalité, son phrasé particulier de règle du jeu immuable. Je décide de questionner ce format en passant la Constitution dans une chaîne de Maarkov afin de m’en servir pour créer un générateur de texte. De cette manipulation statistique sur le texte née une série de phrases écrites avec la tonalité du texte d’origine, qui en reprend même certains extraits, proposant 89 nouvelles itérations d’articles. Les poèmes ainsi générés deviennent des traces, de longues délibérations alambiquées, des contre-sens, parfois une certaine forme d’humour. — [EN] Antonin Jousse, “Poèmes constitutionnels”, 2024, 89 textual iterations. The “Constitutional Poems” are a series of 89 short articles conceived by statistical generation from the French Constitution of October 4, 1958, in use today. As I reread this founding text of the French political system, I (re)discover its tone, its particular phrasing of unchanging rules of the game. I decided to question this format by running the Constitution through a Maarkov chain, using it to create a text generator. This statistical manipulation of the text gives rise to a series of sentences written with the tonality of the original text, which even takes up certain extracts, proposing 89 new iterations of articles.
