In a “nothing to do with the world being on fire, mostly” interlude, progress on experimental painting is slow, what with my right hand being difficult. (Stupid human form, I have notes!) And weird. Progress is weird. It occurs to me y’all, that I may be stranger than advertised.

Giant canvas with a background of a sort of dreamy kelp forest. It is populated by a menagerie of creatures, some of which are still gesso white outlines, one of which is borrowed from a medieval manuscript, a mermaid figure with a Christmas bauble for a head, a giant human headed fish maybe and some other weird shapes not quite defined yet. The artist may be a crazy person…or it’s surrealism so deep scholars will be taking for years. Na, the artist is probably a little unhinged.

Giant canvas and tubes of sample paint experiment did not turn out as expected, but I’m kinda loving where it went. I used all the blues and violets and spring greens. The paint was way more gloopy and resistant to moving than expected. It has much texture. Heh. I’m not sure if it’s done, or if I’ll do more when it dries. It’s kinda neat looking though.
