Sabi's precious ESA bun, who's kept her going for so long, is in decline and the prognosis is that he won't make it through the night.

He won't survive anesthesia for a CT scan and further treatment. 970 needed

Good morning everyone I was awake earlier, but there wasn't so much as a peep from the Snooze Crew downstairs, so I just tucked myself back under the covers and dozed for a bit until they stirred. We had the music and living room light on until 9 PM last night in case of Fireworks, so it was a strange night for the parrots, who are normally tucked in to roost by 5:30 PM at the latest.

It was actually pretty quiet around here, although I could hear some in the distance, but then it was mid week and raining hard. I have a feeling we are going to get some activity over the weekend as people use up the expensive, pointless, pop bangs they bought. Pet Classics is back on Saturday night again luckily.

Grant has a full day out with the RSPB today so I will be on parrot duty all day. By the time I have finished their morning Sprays (and the inevitable paper changes as they decide to bath in their water bowls ) and Parrot Kitchen this morning it will be almost time to get ready for afternoon cleaning and food prep for the evening, so I may or may not get some crochet in.

Another Kids' Drawing toy order came in yesterday, so it's ramping up again as expected. I also managed to find yarn with the colour ways I was looking for, for the competition toy, so that's on order now and should hopefully arrive early next week.

Good morning everyone I'm up early with the parrots today and have just finished a brief, but lovely, cuddle with Ziggy, who was a sleepyhead this morning, not even stirring until I lifted the covers. I have to be careful when she's not fully awake and talk to her the whole time while approaching the cage, because she has been known to fall off the perch in fright in the past She quickly woke up and became her usual bossy boots though, yelling at me when I wasn't quick enough bringing their food bowls through, with Jadie chiming in, yelling "C'mon!' in an exasperated voice. Honestly, the residents of this parrot hotel are something else!

I'm still on the hunt for yarn for the competition toy as I haven't found anything suitable yet, so more yarn shopping and crochet on the cards today.

For all of those in the UK with pets, a wee reminder that Classic FM Pets Classics will start at 5PM this evening. It has been invaluable to me over the years in keeping the parrots calm.

Good morning everyone I'm up late today as I decided to take another couple of days off work and Grant got up for the parrot. I thought I was ready to go back yesterday, but it turned out I was not. So, I spoke to my manager and agreed to go back next week instead. Definitely for the best.

I'm just settling down with my first coffee of the day after the joyous cacophony of parrot greetings. The excitement is so uplifting - it's like my very own red carpet walk Definitely good for the soul.

Since I'm now not working, I'll be concentrating on crochet today. I need to start the Kids' Toy order that came in over the weekend and I also still need to source some yarn for the competition toy. I have an idea of yarn I'd like to use, but it depends on what colours are available so I'll need to have a shop around. But who doesn't like yarn shopping? Crazy people, that's who!

Good morning Fabulous Fedi Folk I'm up with the parrots today, who were awake even as I came down to prepare their food at 4:30 as a cheerful "Good Moo!" from the darkness of the living room could attest Mind you, they were all tucked in to roost by 5 PM yesterday evening, so I'm not surprised. With the dark coming in earlier at night now, it's their natural inclination to eat and settle down earlier.

Ziggy decided that my left hand offended her again this morning. It's always the left hand and randomly (to me anyway, I'm sure she has some dinosaur logic on the go about it) causes offence that results in her attacking it. She doesn't bite to hurt, but hard enough to warn the beastly thing to stay well away from her Then five minutes later she will crawl into the same hand and tuck herself up for a cuddle. Parrots eh?

I'm back at work today and about to face the Inbox of Doom - wish me luck!
