Kinder scout plateau, looking west, from Grindslow Knoll. As usual in anything except perfect weather, the combination of a plateau edge and clouds makes for hurricane winds where I'm standing. The incisions (cloughs) along the plateau make for excellent scrambling in mostly hidden but steep rocky creek beds. #peakdistrict #nature #hiking #landscape

A barren plateau covered by moss and rock formations going back hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years. In the distance racing rainclouds swirl, with the plateau showing clear cuts eroded by creeks.

This is an odd copse of wood near Castleton, at the begin/end of the Limestone way. Taken during a grey, dark morning, but used postprocessing to try to match my visual perception of the difference in spectra.
