I just published a post about owning digital content (music, videos, podcasts and more) without spending money, on Odysee.

(Unfortunately it's too long to post it here on Mastodon, plus it would look like a mess without text formatting 😂 But I'll work on an Articles section on FosseryWeb, then I'll share FosseryWeb links instead)

Without YOU none of this is possible!

You are the source of my inspiration, you guide me and support me through this journey of discovery in music!

You are part of my music

You ARE my music!

When you listen those sounds literally resonate through you!

When you buy my music, you make it possible for me to make more music, you are my life blood!

"Capitalism and extreme poverty: A global analysis of real wages, human height, and mortality since the long 16th century
[…]
• Data on real wages suggests that, historically, extreme poverty was uncommon and arose primarily during periods of severe social and economic dislocation, particularly under colonialism.
• The rise of capitalism from the long 16th century onward is associated with a decline in wages to below subsistence, a deterioration in human stature, and an upturn in premature mortality.
• In parts of South Asia, sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, wages and/or height have still not recovered."

The Verge: Ron Wyden asks for rules about whether you own your digital purchases. “Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) has sent a letter to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) chair Andrew Ferguson urging the FTC to require that companies admit when you’re not really buying an ebook or video game.”

#Amazon apparently kills possibility to download ✌️bought✌️eBooks in the US. Highlighting the often misunderstood fact that you are really just renting them for an unspecified time when you "buy" something, for as long as you stay on your renters platform or until they retract your "purchase".
