@dipolecat Download #OsmAnd from the FDroid Store. In this version you can download as many maps as you want.
Even de fietscomputer (#Hammerhead #Karoo met #OsmAnd gesideload) uitgeprobeerd met de stadsfiets en wat is dat eigenlijk fijn. Vantevoren een route uitgestippeld van 40 kilometer over #Dwingelderveld. Voorheen deed ik dat altijd op mijn sporthorloge, maar dat was een klein scherm en ik moest continu op mijn pols kijken voor afslagen.
Het was druk. Vooral met wandelaars rond het gebied van #Astron.

Hilarious #OsmAnd routing failure: bike from one neighbourhood to the next in Helsinki, through Stockholm. Only 545 km detour. The voice was outraged that "You have deviated from the path by 60 m!?".
(I think this happened because I have geolocation disabled until a moment before. When you re-enable, it takes a little while for the "real" location to propagate, and a random previous location from the cache is used. When the map updated, the route did not.)

J’ai vu qu’il était possible d’avoir le guidage vocal mais je trouve cela dérangeant à pied.

it can be edited in #vespucci. as far as i can tell, #organicmaps and #osmand don't currently display this info so i will open an issue to kindly ask about it.

@docdieterlen I personally like #osmand as it has great detail (based on #OpenStreetMap) and works offline. So privacy is guaranteed

kürzlich hatte ich bei einer Unterhaltung das Thema GoogleMaps. Es wurde gesagt, dass die Sympathie ja auch nicht bei Google liege, jedoch mache man davon Gebrauch, da dort die [POI] so unkompliziert zu finden und mit Zusatzinformationen befüllt sind. Ich selbst verwende #osmand.
Gibt es weitere Alternativen, die ich vorschlagen könnte (besonders zur Online-Nutzung)?

Thank you so much. I will try to follow your instructions. If I manage to do it, it would be the perfect solution.
I didn't know that there is a #Brouter plugin in #OsmAnd .This can be very helpful as I anyway use Brouter.de (+ #Valhalla #routing engine + #Cyclers web routing engine) to plan my #bike tracks. Thanks again.
By the way, is there somewhere a sort of #OsmAnd manual? I often get lost with the application and the help section is not always explicit enough for people like me.
