#openvibe

I've been trying out Openvibe app for browsing the Fediverse, and it has been working great for one click posting to Mastodon, Bluesky & Nostr at once, as well as to nicely view those 3 services on a single page. But privacy concerned folks should be aware that the app seems to be doing a bit of "phoning home", & should take measures to protect yourself if you choose to still use it (TrackerControl is one Android app that can help for that). #privacy #openvibe #fediverse #socialmedia #android

@openvibe - trying out your app, and it's working great for one click cross platform posting, and seeing multiple platforms on one thread. I also appreciated how easy it was to setup a new Nostr account on it. Would love to see y'all add in support for Diaspora*, Friendica and Pixelfed on your app as well. Thanks for your consideration!

I tried #openvibe but deleted it after a day or two. The UX isn't very smooth, and there are some frictions that need to be worked on when posting to several sites especially when the post is longer than Bluesky allows. My c7 instance allows 2000 characters posts.

But it's a good concept. I hope to try it again in the near future.

Також крута річ #Openvibe
1) дві мережі в одному застосунку (мастодон та блюскай)
2) пам'ятає місце в стрічці, де зупинився
3) mentions більш наглядний чим в нативному для блюскай та #Tusky для мастодон

> OpenVibe seems to be proprietary software

They are published some code here but I can't tell at a glance if it's the full app code or not;

github.com/Tweetoshi

If not, it may be like Loops; developing behind close doors until it's relatively stable, or until they get time to tidy up their full code for publication? But I definitely won't be using it until it's available in F-Droid.

Openvibe has 6 repositories available. Follow their code on GitHub.

@openvibe you've probably already had this pointed out, but there are at least 2 preexisting software projects called "OpenVibe". One was part of the discontinued OpenMoko project, which was pretty obscure;

But the other one had is a brains-computer interface project by a French research institute;

openvibe.inria.fr/

It's been going since the late noughties;

... and looks pretty active;
