Tweaking ones own #flow focus - is a life long battle against everything that want to hijack it.

Getting better at #safeguarding against hijackers - is well worth investing improving ones skills to do though.

For that #notifications - is key to get in order. It is the main source of wasting your precious time and energy, stealing it from what you really would like to do.

Most you actually don't need at all.

Apologies if I haven't responded or interacted with you since at least July 1st. Just figured out that the frontend for #Mastodon changed, and inside of the Notifications tab, there are now multiple notification category tabs and for some reason it seems to default to New Follower notifications instead of All Notifications. Hope this helps others with #notifications getting lost.

I don't know how to use this app called `ntfy`. Maybe it requires more advanced IT and technical knowledge. I would like to use it for my server, so that whenever people like my post, the `ntfy` app will send a notification directly to my phone.

Engadget: Bluesky is finally adding more ways to filter notifications. “Bluesky has updated its notification settings so that users have more control over when and why the social media app sends them a ping. Besides more granular controls over which things will trigger a notification, you can now receive alerts for any activity from a chosen account.”
