we don't know where the sub-2 euro servers on #netcup went, we looked at the German site, the cheapest one is 3.35 euro, same as on the english one lol

#VPS bei #netcup oder #Hetzner mieten und alles selbst aufsetzen.
#Plesk oder #Keyhelp helfen da ein bissl weiter, damit man nicht bei Null anfängt.
Muss zugeben, dass man da schon ein bissl eine Lernkurve hat... Mail ists im Detail nicht ganz pflegeleicht (DNS-Settings, Spam-Handling,...)
Aber man lernt auch viel dabei

Ich suche gute Tutorials, wie man kleine Netzwerke mit mehreren VPS hinter einer Firewall bei einem Hoster wie Hetzner oder Netcup realisiert. Irgendwelche Vorschläge oder Erfahrungen? 
Persönliche Hilfe, natürlich gegen Bezahlung, ist auch herzlich willkommen. 
Well, #NetCup was an absolute disaster as a vendor. Could their server management system be any more #arcane? I mean... holy crap. There's not even an easy way to re-provision or re-initialize a server once it's been deployed!

Ordered a #netcup vps, with the winter deal. Now to migrate from all over the place to there, and throwing some things in containers while I'm at it.
#unplugtrump trendet nicht umsonst. Auch unsere Kanzlei möchte sich von Abhängigkeiten trennen, ua MS365. Unsere Daten liegen schon lange woanders. Jetzt geht es um die E-Mails. Naheliegend zurück auf Mail bei Hoster. Der ist aber seit Urzeiten Hosteurope = GoDaddy = US.
Was könnt ihr empfehlen? Es geht nur um eine WP Seite, viele Domains, eine handvoll Mailkonten und ich muss an DNS ran.
Neuer Anbieter in D, gerne Öko und sozial. Scheint auf #manitu gut zu passen.
Erfahrungen? Andere Ideen?
Habe noch #WebGo aus HH im Blick. Häufig genannt auch #Netcup, die hängen aber wieder an größerem Laden dran.

Today I transferred my servers to another netcup account. Since I thought this could be interesting for other people, I wrote a quick blog post about it.

New #MailCow server setup and installed at #Netcup. Their prices are definitely competitive. The latest #Docker and #MailCow now running too.
Using a #Debian12 #ARM64 server.
#Postfix and #Dovecot are the only apps exposed to the public internet. Everything else is only exposed with #Tailscale to my internal #Tailnet. Should help me to sleep better at night not really having to worry about someone gaining access to SSH, Docker, #Webmin or MailCow since all of that is only bound/ listening to my Tailnet ipaddr.
This was surprisingly painful, but I managed to make a 
#NixOS module¹ to periodically update DNS records via the @netcup API. This means you can do #DynDNS with your domain rented via #netcup 
Luckily, someone already made a script² to interface with the API. I taught it to determine public IPs and poured it into a NixOS module with proper options.
