As you note, there are issues with a fenced bison compared to a free ranging herd. We have spots of rewilded prairie in the yard. We have runner ducks in the role of eating greens and fertilizing the soil. We mow bits of the prairie in the spring, about a quarter, leaving some habitat, about three quarters. Pollinators<p>April 12, 2025. Where we are transplanting native plants while a snapping turtle deliberately walks south feet from my feet. These three Dwarf Blazing Stars were grown from seed in spring 2024. The flower spires will be about 12 inches tall.
