This is on behalf of my good friend who is in need of financial/mutual aid right now since they are no longer on fedi.</p><p>They only have an escooter as a means of commute which has broken and needs either repair or replacement. This is important because they only recently got a job so they do not have enough funds at hand to get this fixed right away, and are having to take rideshares to get to/from work currently. </p><p>They have been dealing with depression and unemployment for some time, and have even been too stressed to be online anymore (even to talk to me on Discord), but they said it was ok to put this out there for them in our last conversation.</p><p>The repair shop quoted them $700. I already sent what I could from my last paycheck, but it is still a long way off. Anything helps. Even a few dollars would mean a lot for them.
