I shot this in #StowOnTheWold and there's a pretty cool story surrounding it.

This old church has two trees framing the door which have now grown to be a part of the structure. It's said that #Tolkien, who lived nearby, would visit this village and used these doors as inspiration for Durin's Door. The secret door in to #Moria from #LordOfTheRings ... "Speak friend, and enter"

Am 8. September 2020 brannte das berüchtigte Camp #Moria auf der griechischen Insel Lesbos vollständig ab. Anstatt das Feuer als unvermeidliche Katastrophe in einer tödlichen Lagerinfrastruktur zu verstehen, verhaftete der griechische Staat sechs junge afghanische Menschen und stellte sie als die Schuldigen und alleinige Auslöser des Feuers dar. Damit wurde versucht, eine weitere öffentliche Debatte über die Lebensbedingungen im Lager und die politische Verantwortung im Keim zu ersticken.

Finally, a court speaking justice: Three of the #Moria6 have been found innocent! Since almost 5 years, the three boys were scapegoated for the fatal fire destroying #Moria camp. Charges were only based on a faked written testimony mentioning first names.They have been convicted twice before and were eventually recognized last year as minors. The juvenile court finally decided about their innocence. It is a scandal that these boys lost almost 5 years of their lives for the failures of the #EU and the Greek State.

Their lawyer Zacharias Kesses: A fair trial was finally held through an exemplary judicial process. An unthinkable miscarriage of justice was corrected, and three individuals—unjustly targeted and imprisoned for nearly four years—were unanimously acquitted. Justice prevailed.

H. W. added: "First of all, I would like to thank those who have supported us until today. After this trial, I want to have a very beautiful life and be able to shape my future. And I am so happy to have come out of this darkness into the light."

Das Tor zur Hölle, wie Mützenich meinte, wurde mit der Duldung von Zuständen wie in #Moria aufgestoßen. Ich persönlich meine auch SPD und Grüne, wenn ich heute auf die Straße gehe.

#GEAS bedeutet viele Morias. Dieses System verletzt die #Menschenwürde, dehumanisiert geflüchtete Menschen und produziert die Gewalt, die wir hinterher beklagen.

Gandalf in Moria.

I built this diorama to display the Mithril Miniatures Gandalf miniature.

I also took this as an opportunity for some extreme "Object Source Lighting". Painted as if only lit from the tip of Gandalf's staff.

Built as a Chrismas present a few years ago, the Dwarven on the column says "Merry Christmas".
