#Google is fighting hard against #Invidious and #Materialious #instances because they allow people to watch #YouTube #videos without being tracked and used for ad revenue. Personally, I love #PeerTube the best, because it is completely #decentralized and #noncommercial but YouTube has the most videos. The coders working on Invidious and Materialious are heroes to the entire #internet community.
#TIL about #Materialious;
"... a privacy respecting frontend for YouTube built ontop of Invidious."
has #youtube completely cut off all #privacy frontends?
I can't get any #invidious , #Piped or #materialious instance to play video.
yes, I know that #LibRedirect has few other frontends
Btw. I also host:
- Invidious: https://yt.thebrainbin.org (OSS youtube frontent)
- and Materialious: https://yt2.thebrainbin.org (a better looking frontend for invidious)
Which hosted services should I add?
