In retrospect, the two-parter finale to Friday Nights reminds me of TNG’s “All Good Things…”. In particular the final scene with Nelson, but also I guess Wheeler as Q putting everyone through quasi-meaningless hoops?

*SIGH* Went 2-3 with my "Sultai" Sealed with just Jeskai Rares with zero fixing and shallow pools in those colours, plus a few fucking unplayable garbage Rares. I really hate that every format has to have total blanks in the Rare and Mythic slots just for ME to open. 
Great way to start a format. I hope Renew doesn't end up being trash (FIVE mana for a 2 counters?) and it's all super fast Mobilize Mardu and grindy, endless value Temur that's good.

Development on a "Magic: The Gathering" movie is continuing, with Canadian filmmaker Matt Johnson in pole position to direct, according to @Deadline. Johnson has solid indie roots, having co-created the "Nirvana the Band the Show" web series and low-budget films "The Dirties" and "Operation Avalanche" before hitting the relative big time with the well-received "BlackBerry" in 2023.
