#Logseq is the King of organizing stuff hierarchically:
Always on the hunt for the ideal note-taking app. I tried #Logseq, and while I loved the logbook, I prefer to organize my notes in a tree-like hierarchy. It helps me to keep an overview.
I switched to TriliumNext (https://github.com/triliumnext). The option to place notes as clones in multiple locations provides both the navigational clarity of folders and the flexibility of tags.
And as a geo-fan, I really like the option to create map notes.
@pmidden @robinp there are integrations for various commercial, free and also open source collaboration and knowledge management tools like confluence, obsidian and logseq. The latter is not only FOSS but is useful - as is - for taking notes, (process) modeling, creating knowledge graphs and visualizations...
Personal note taking and structuration app
I'm looking for personal notes taking app that would allow to organically add structure - especially by creating inter note links and to-dos/reminders.
I never used org-mode put from what I understand of it, it could be that.
It needs to be floss or at the very least based on an interoperable standard (I don't know about such a thing, I would love to learn).
I would need to used it on smartphone and linux laptop. If the sync relies on a private service, it needs to be eee.
It needs to be able to store rich text (the markdown set we seems to converge to is OK) and images, ideally integrates with mermaid.js
I know of :
Do you use any ? Do you know others?
Boost appreciated!

@techhelpkb After a decade+ of being all-in on Onenote I'm about 80% off now, and growing more so by the month.
My sanctuary of choice is #triliumnext, but there are others such as #notion, #obsidian, #logseq, #joplin, #siyuan
Onenote is a good product if it fits you, especially with an addon like #onemoreaddin for onenote desktop, but if it's cramped, don't wait to move. In MS eyes it's mostly done, what's there now is what you get.

In anticipation of my apprenticeship/course in software development, I'm looking at note taking apps again. Used Obsidian heavily, but I think it's become too bloated. I liked and wanted to use Emacs, but it's so complicated, it's too much work (to have it sync etc). NotesNook looks good, but when I import my notes, none of the images show. Logseq do Orgmode now, so that's a strong possibility...
Anything else I should look at?

@bounding_star @goblin I know that @teq actively practices documenting in the open (I’m sure they have they own explanation). Teq any tips for folks getting started on publically documenting all the things?
#Supasend is the killer app for #Logseq on iOS. I can write down simple notes like hyperlinks, random thoughts, ideas, TODOs, etc without the slow process of launching LogSeq.
Brilliant for #pkm

Brian Sunter hooked up #Logseq using #Anthropic #Claude via #MCP . Awesome! https://x.com/Bsunter/status/1900367037438054641
So on my list of things to tinker with for ages has been @syncthing just set it up on my arch laptop and the syncthing fork app on my droid phone. HOLEY SMOKES. It's awesome. Got it syncin' my #logseq folder which yes I rather glibly call "connection_cove". 'syncthing #opensource
