Makes a refreshing tea when leaves used straight off the plant in summer or dried and used later in the year.

Tomatoes green turning dark red on the vine

Purple petals of Rosemary plant flowering. Thin pungent green leaves surrounding.

Larger tomato turning red while other Tom’s surrounding on vine are still green. Dark green leaves.

My very first harvest of #LemonVerbena (Aloysia citrodora) is somehow ready to dry. I only rescued this friend from the discount section at Canadian Tire a couple of weeks ago and haven't gotten around to repotting it, but it managed to transform from straggly to lush and fluffy anyway. On brand somehow-- a plant with very happy vibes.

A multilayered vanilla nettle cake with lemon verbena cream cheese frosting decorated with pansies from our garden.
The hubbs isn't ecstatic that nettles are hanging around in our small backyard, but he does like cake, so he mostly accepts it.

Look. Every year they try this white nectarine-peach combo, and every year it is APPALLING. Lemon verbena did not ask to be dragged into this!! In any case, it tastes like she is pretending she is not there. Not all of us were so lucky, love
