You know, court sketch artists be doing that WORK. I've not seen a bad court sketch drawing.

Oftentimes, cameras aren't allowed in court rooms, or they are allowed in a limited capacity. There comes the tradition of the court sketch artist.
(Referring to the sketch artist in the Diddy Combs case. Amazing work!)

AI can't capture the essence of the judge looking skeptical or the prosecutor about to call BS. It literally wouldn't be recording actual events.

Hey #LegalMastodon, if I wanted to make a non-legally binding offer in a negotiation, is there specific language for that? That is, I want to offer something that I don't want to be legally bound to in any way - they'll have to take it on faith.

To give a little more detail, they want me to do X. I'm willing to do X, but I don't want to be legally or contractually bound in any way (so if they don't like the way I do X, or if they decide to be difficult and claim I didn't do X to their satisfaction, they have no recourse). I shouldn't have to do X, but I'm willing to do it to achieve closure.

Is there a way to put that in writing, without making it contractual?

"At least eight of Georgia’s "fake electors" have been granted immunity in the Fulton County district attorney's investigation into former President Donald Trump and his allies regarding alleged interference in the 2020 election, according to a new court filing."

I look forward to #LegalMastodon's commentary.

Okay, and with experience in cases and who might be more familiar with law: A friend of mine is a performer, and occasionally travels to Fayetteville to perform. They're worried about the potential impact of Arkansas on their livelihood. I'd argue that most all drag performances aren't intended to and don't in fact appeal to the prurient interest, so SB43 would be difficult to enforce. I welcome any other feedback/thoughts.

@dangillmor From most recent internal info, third party apps were selectively taken offline. Some were allowed to stay.
Besides his wretched Biz tactics, that just seems illegal (?) I wonder if #legalmastodon exists & could expound for us.

#LegalMastodon I’ve been wondering:

Do @tapbots, Iconfactory and their users have a legal case against Twitter?

Feels like, TOU aside, there has to be some principle of dependency here. People expected and made investments/expenditures expecting the business to behave normally and it didn’t, creating devastating liabilities for these companies.
