Overview of the I-11 project, which would connect #Phoenix and #LasVegas, two of the biggest nearby US cities not connected by an interstate. The problem is that on the #Arizona side, the road would either go through unique ecosystems that would be destroyed or destroy neighborhoods and force people to move. And while it will solve traffic problems temporarily, it will only lead to more traffic problems down the road. More wildlife crossings would help. youtube.com/watch?v=6tLQT0K3ZCs #Nevada

I do not understand the psychological need people have for fireplaces in this climate. From a condo listing in Henderson. Already limited in space, here’s a fake gas hearth that eliminates the ability to use that corner for anything else. I loathed the real fireplace in our Portland house, I can’t imagine this as an asset in the #lasvegas area. Nights certainly get cold in the high desert winter, but the days are so mild I’ve had no desire for a fake “cozy” fireplace.
