For the first time ever I tested my typing speed. Turned out to be 68 WPM (words per minute).
Not sure if this is good or bad but I noticed the new and keybords that are being sold these days are slightly different from my (old) keyboard.
Should I get myself a new keyboard? Which (fullsize) non clicky keyboards are recommended? #keyboard
Have a key sequence:
<Multi_key> <L> <slash>
will insert Ł
(latin capital letter l with stroke)
Hey #mechanicalkeyboard community, I don't like this, I think a coiled cable might be the way to go to relieve the stress on the USB-C into the #HHKB. Anyone have one on #Amazon they like? I don't want to run the cable in between my Schiit stack, any #keyboard movement moves them, already tried it.
@eniko and yes, I personally used the #CTFWIKE4 on the go many times.
Sadly I've not found a way to use an #Xbox360 #Chatpad & #Controller as #Mouse & #Keyboard replacement instead.
@0x0961h @eniko I do like these as well due to being compact and clicky.
I’m now at the age where my body complains about too much typing on crap #keyboards. Let’s see if this helps, if I ever get up to my regular typing speed (currently: 25 wpm instead of ~85 wpm).
Have a key sequence:
<Multi_key> <x> <O>
will insert ¤
(currency sign)

@leitzke I have a ZSA moonlander kb and it's wonderful. Layer 1 is the normal keys, home row in red. Left thumb keys are backspace, DEL and Tab.
Layer 2 pulls the numbers down one. QWERTY => 12345 and, more profoundly, the shift-number symbols to the home row
ASDFG => !@#$%
The layer below has 0, - , +, =, triple backticks for markdown, {code} for JIRA and "steve".
Oh, and the number keys become the function keys, obviously
That's what I need to program up on the new KB
#keyboard
Want.
I use a Kinesis keyboard. If I could get Linear A keycaps for it, I totally would.
I use a Dvorak layout with a keyboard that has Qwerty keycaps, so I don't look at the keys anyway.
Found a #cellphone that I regularly used years ago, where the original #keypad stopped working and I replaced it with tactile mini switches and attached the replacemend keypad with silicone to the device. Was durable, and still works :-).
Phone is still used irregularly.
