This is very big, esp when hosts on #MSNBC read the full devastating Hegseth is unfit and a predator, letter by his mother (email pub by #NYTimes)

Will the #MAGA folks NOT get to see this powerfully BAD choice by #Trump? Will the average R voter let this one go?

To me, this (I hope not) exposes Trump wants MORE than a drunk bad guy who he can control, Trump wants #CHAOS #USA

Two books comprehensively, authoritatively detail this, explaining the current state of U.S. politics, and the spread of ultra-conservativism internationally. Basically, regulatory capture of political parties.

Jane Mayer: Dark Money ...
Nancy MacLean: Democracy in Chains ..

A bit dry if you are not interested in politics, but honestly essential reading if you want to understand contemporary conservative politics and movements.

Investigative journalist #JaneMayer review from 2019: #Kochland author Christopher Leonard digs up new “evidence of the Kochs’ role in perhaps the earliest known organized conference of climate-change deniers….The meeting, in 1991, was sponsored by the #CatoInstitute, a Washington-based libertarian think tank, which the #Kochs founded & heavily funded for years.”
