I still say that the first two RollerCoaster Tycoon games have some of the best isometric artwork in history. Truly incredible decorating work!
As I expanded this area with a layer of underground rooms, I ran into some problems. If the player falls down, they have to go through all of it again. So I found a solution that was right in front of my eyes due to remnants of the old geometry. #gamedev #indiegame #isometric

Something I really appreciate about Interplay's Fallout games is that they're classless RPGs, yet they strike the right balance in the replayability department.
You're not held back by early-game choices so long as you exercise some thought when building your character's skills. At the same time, each play of Fallout and Fallout 2 feels a bit different, as you make different decisions or pump your stats in a different way.
