This year, we'll be running two parallel tracks: Onsite (at Miami) or online.

We are writing to invite your application to participate in an M3 Intellectual Property Scholars Workshop. (M3 stands for Mid-career or “Mezzanine” scholars, Middle of the academic year, & Mid-point drafts. But we’re not terribly fussy about that last point. You can bring anything from a paper idea to a nearly finished draft.) We hope you can join us! This workshop is open to any IP scholar who has held a full-time academic position for 8 to 15 years (not counting time as a VAP or fellow). Effectively, anyone who started teaching between fall 2008 and fall 2015 is eligible to apply. The M3 IP Workshop will resemble the format used by the Junior IP Scholars Association (JIPSA). Each participant will submit a project on a topic pertaining to an aspect of intellectual property, defined quite broadly. The authors will not present their projects. Instead, we will collectively provide feedback based on the abstract or paper draft, with perhaps a bit of verbal instruction from the author about what they most need to learn about the project. We will offer a flexible, two-track format—one on-site track, and one online track. The two tracks will kick off the conference with a joint lunch/social event on May 19. Each track will then proceed parallel to and independent of the other. That is, the on-site track will discuss one set of projects, and the online track will discuss a separate set of projects. ....
