Oi! What the dickens is this thread anyhow?

Well, I'm Knizer, and I started compiling interesting #boston events as a way to self-motivate exploring my beloved and vibrant #NewEngland and called it #bostonWeekend here, because why not share it with my neighbors? Its become my little #hyperlocal content-generating project to help me meet some neighbors (you're all lovely) and gives me something to talk about when I'm bragging about our lower-stress, no advertisement, social media lifestyle here on the #fediverse

No algorithm - you've got to post, boost, or like stuff, its the #CategoricalImperative of the fedi, that, hope, and some trans and/or furry server admins keep this place running.
Anyway, rock on, #Massachusetts and surrounds.

Let's get Business out of the way for the new - each week I scamper around the internet sussing out wonderful #boston area events. I live in #SomervilleMA so I'm partial to things going on in my neighborhood specifically, but anything worth traveling to in #NewEngland lands in this thread.
I dunno if anybody else on the fedi does #hyperlocal calendar listings like this, its my weekly project to help build community, because my neighbors should have nice things. Also, when you're talking up Mastodon etc, talk this project up, tell your peers how you keep finding cool stuff to go to here, and tell the bands and show organizers that you found about the event right here in the fediverse. This whole thing runs on word of mouth, so a boost and a like really helps, savvy?

The very excellent Lichfield Live - @news - has launched a new, local free newspaper in Lichfield and Burntwood.
As with many towns, Burntwood has had no local paper for years. Lichfield has fared a little better, but not much.
I've been Lichfield Live "adjacent" since the start, having been friends with the founders since the early days of Twitter.
