I especially enjoyed the question about Crimean Tatar culture available to us in the wider world.

As a result of this question I learned that Homeward - a Crimean Tatar film directed by Nariman Aliev - is available to watch in the UK on iPlayer! I am looking forward to watching it.

@carljshirley I couldn’t agree more! It prevents me from enjoying this episode. Picard watches a whole planet die & is like 𝘰𝘩 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. Very out of character for Picard regardless of the PD.

He violated the PD to save Data’s long-fingered friend, brought a Mintakan on the Enterprise, intervened in Klingon internal affairs by acting as arbiter of succession.

But he stands by & allows an entire planet’s civilization to die.
