Just finished Rachel Aviv's *Strangers to Ourselves* -- Provocative, nuanced, and beautifully written. I'll need to sit with it for a while, but on first read, it strikes me as a masterpiece of long-form journalism and one of the best books on mental illness I've ever read. #bookstodon #bookreview #HistPsych #mentalhealth
