“…if the #SecondAmendment right was historically understood to allow an ofcl to disarm anyone he deemed 'dangerous,' it may follow that modern Congresses can do the same...
“…Yet, historical context compels the opposite conclusion. The Second Amendment stems from English resistance against 'dangerous' person laws.”
In dissent, #SCOTUS Justice Sonia #Sotomayor said the majority’s opinion would have “deadly consequences," adding that the court “hamstrings the government’s efforts to keep machineguns from gunmen like the Las Vegas shooter.”

In its ruling, the #SCOTUS majority said #BumpStocks do not qualify as #MachineGuns under a 1986 law that barred civilians from owning the weapons. The #Trump admin interpreted the #law to ban bump stocks in 2018, after a gunman used the devices to open fire on a Las Vegas music festival, ultimately killing 60 people in the deadliest #MassShooting in U.S. history.

It's not the guns. They are the deadly tools.
It's stupid people using guns handed to them by NRA and GOP arseholes. 
"One of the forms Card filled out included yes/no questions he had to complete. One asked ... if he’d ever been “adjudicated as a mental defective OR . . . ever been committed to a mental institution?” Card indicated that he had; over the summer he’d spent two weeks in a facility after claiming to hear voices."
But what if he had checked "No"? It's unclear.
