Noen i #Norge som har testet ut #Curve? Lurer veldig på om det er "verdt det" og hvordan personvernet virkelig håndteres der.

Det er iallefall et alternativ til #GooglePay. Spesielt for de av oss som skyr Google som pesten.

Og kanskje det kan dekke noe av hva #Vipps gjør, spesielt i forbindelse med betaling via "tæpping" (som ikke funger med alle banker i Norge).

Curve er fra Litauen og dermed underlagt mye av EUs regimer - noe som ikke er en ulempe. Men er det godt nok?

I’ve mentioned this before long ago, #ShopeePay is way better than #TnGeWallet - even when it was part of the #Shopee app, more so now that it’s become a standalone #eWallet app. As ‘simplistic’ as its UI is, its UX is swell and easy to use.

It doesn’t bombard you with a ton of features/functionalities most people wouldn’t ever need from a ‘simple’ eWallet, you can topup as lil as 1 MYR rather than TnG’s ridiculous 20 MYR minimum (any lower, you’ll need to use #DuitNow), and its QR payment system to send/receive is completely compatible with DuitNow.

TnG’s (QR) for example do not support sending money to #Maybank’s (or presumably any other bank’s) DuitNow QR for personal accounts for whatever reason, only merchant’s. Heck, even their face recognition system for verification purposes works way better and more reliably than #TouchNGo’s. ShopeePay only needs dark mode, #ApplePay and #GooglePay as payment methods for topup (which are already supported on Shopee itself but somehow missing here), and it’s golden.

Die Tagesschau berichtet: „Alle in Europa führenden Kredit- und Debitkarten-Anbieter (VISA, Mastercard, Amex und Diners) sind amerikanisch. Die digitalen Anbieter PayPal, Apple Pay und Google Pay ebenfalls. Und wo die Amerikaner Lücken lassen, stoßen chinesische Konkurrenten wie Alipay hinein. Ökonomen sehen darin gravierende Gefahren. Sollte Trump die US-Firmen anweisen oder unter Druck setzen, ihren Verträgen nicht mehr nachzukommen oder die Gebühren empfindlich zu erhöhen, sieht Europa ziemlich alt aus. Die einzige europäische Zahlungsmethode heißt European Payments Initiative (EPI) und tritt für Kunden seit dem vergangenen Jahr unter dem Namen Wero auf. Ähnlich wie bei PayPal kann man mit Wero relativ einfach und sofort Geld per Smartphone oder online überweisen, ohne dazu eine IBAN zu benötigen.“
Ich finde: das sollte ein Anlass sein, Wero auf dem eigenen Smartphone zu installieren; Geschäfte sollten alsbald Zahlungen per Wero möglich machen. Dass Europa sich unabhängiger von den durch die Trump-Administration beeinflussbaren Zahlungssystemen macht, ist höchst wichtig und duldet keinen Aufschub mehr!
