Day one of 'not seeing in my 50'th year as an unhealthy blob' started today with half hour on the treadmill and a very healthy granola and greek yogurt breakfast, protein bar and mango chunks for lunch, and grilled chicken salad for dinner. I also forced myself to do a shit tonne of housework. I aim to work up to excercise eachday alternating between treadmill/bike, resistance bands work outs and pilates. I've also drastically reduced my wine intake and will now only drink a glass or two on a friday night. Once i've gotten used to this new regime I aim to go vegan (for both health and politcal reasons). Feeling good about this consdering i've lived a pretty sedentry for the last few years due to chronic back pain and long covid!

So many exciting sniffs on today's little walk.

Had my kinesthethilogy appointment this morning and decided to push myself and take my boy for a little walk. I may have regrets later, but the air was so cool and fresh it was invigorating. Listened to one of my fav podcasts , @canadiantruecrimepod, which is always interesting! (Kristi is awesome, highly recommend!)

Enjoying a cuppa after my first run for about 32 years. 😇I’m loving my new barefoot running shoes from Pure Step, they are so comfy and easy to rinse when they encounter a totally waterlogged field like they did today. 👣 And what better than to drink out of my ‘Just Because I Am Me, I Am Good Enough’ mug?? It’ll be a while before I do a marathon, but the first step I took today was absolutely good enough!

Currently I'm going through the journey of getting fit again, I've lost around 2 stone since June 22, with a target of 10kgs more to lose.

Also currently doing 100push ups a day everyday during February for #shelter homeless charity.
