Kris<p>Aux expert·es de <a href="https://social.krisdoc.net/tags/gemini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gemini</span></a> : j'utilise Yunohost et j'ai la possibilité d'installer Gemserv (<a href="https://github.com/calacuda/gemserv/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://github.com/calacuda/gemserv/</a>) mais je ne comprends pas les features de ce serveur. sotolf<p>Tsoding daily is currently doing a series about building a gemini browser which does kind of makes me a bit more interested in the thing, I'm still under the opinion that there are way too little stuff there to make it interesting to browse, but the tech is at least a bit more fun.</p><p>I'm sure there would be a way to lossily convert html to gemtext some way, that would be kind of a fun project to make something that would be able to convert the stuff over, I'm sure someone else has had the thought though.</p><p>So maybe that would be something fun to do.</p><p><a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/gemini_protocol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gemini_protocol</span></a></p>

Thalass<p>This is a really neat project! I personally like a slide-out keyboard but I could probably redesign the case to do that. It'd be fun to have something similar to Offpunk on it, too, to keep up to date on Geminispace things or other blog-type posts. <br><a href="https://youtu.be/308KoLSLlCc?si=V_ooHLm8x6u5q462" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">youtu.be/308KoLSLlCc?si=V_ooHL</span><span class="invisible">m8x6u5q462</span></a><br><a href="https://social.chinwag.org/tags/gemini_protocol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gemini_protocol</span></a> <a href="https://social.chinwag.org/tags/offpunk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>offpunk</span></a> <a href="https://social.chinwag.org/tags/pda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pda</span></a></p>
Dark Photon Studio<p>Most people on <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> seem to be interested in alternatives to the modern <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/worldwideweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>worldwideweb</span></a> so why isn’t anyone talking about or using things like <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gemini_protocol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gemini_protocol</span></a>? Gemini (not the Google AI crap) is an alternative to the <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/www" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>www</span></a> spec. It’s feels so much like the early web. It doesn’t lend itself to commercial interests because it’s so bare bones and odd. Gemini would be a far more suitable place to put various types of tech documentation than on the Web. That’s just one use case. The dearth of even basic curiosity about it is baffling to me. </p><p><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemini_(protocol)" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemini_(</span><span class="invisible">protocol)</span></a></p>
Dark Photon Studio<p>I'm getting close to being done with the <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/WWW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WWW</span></a>. It's a flood of <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/bigotry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bigotry</span></a>, <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/advertising" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>advertising</span></a>, and <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/spam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>spam</span></a> owned by <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/billionaire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>billionaire</span></a> assholes. I've had enough. The <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/worldwideweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>worldwideweb</span></a> wasn't supposed to be like this. We should be looking for and using un-exploitable alternatives, like <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gemini_protocol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gemini_protocol</span></a>. With the big surge of <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fediverse</span></a> platforms like <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a>, I'm surprised there wasn't more talk about it. Anyway, yeah. The Web blows.</p>
