#VampireSurvivors: Complete [#poncle]

After 40+ hours and having cheated death, until the real Death shows, I believe I can give a short critique. If crack was legal, then why did I pay $12 for this? I can only describe this as #Gauntlet [#NES #Arcade] decided to get frisky with #Touhou [Shoot Em Up or #shmup] where you play as the final boss. All of the pretty colors and crisp audio design with make your happy brain neurons dance.

I give this a Score of: CRACK COCAINUS!!! Agent 47 probably

Recently I've been working on a getting-started guide on what I think is one of the most interesting games in UFO 50, Pilot Quest. (Other games I've really enjoyed, though I've by no means tried every game in the collection yet: Magic Garden, Waldorf's Journey, Planet Zoldath, Attactics, Kick Club, On

Today (September 9) is the 25th anniversary of the North American release of the SEGA Dreamcast.

I have strange Dreamcast story, I found one in my neighbor's trash a couple years back? 😂 Seriously, people throw out WILD stuff. It was IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX, too, with controllers and a game. 🤯 I just had to grab a cord. Now, I need to GDEMU it (the physical games I want are far too expensive).

My main goal is to play Gauntlet Legends on it. There's some shooters too.

But... mostly Gauntlet Legends. ⚔️🔥😂

Happy birthday, Dreamcast. Now you're 25 and you can finally rent cars.

Also, check out this great article on the Dreamcast from 1998 via web-japan.org that I got this post's image from: web-japan.org/kidsweb/archives

@biogeo #Gauntlet was originally a licensed NES title produced by #Tengen (a subsidiary of arcade manufacturer #AtariGames), but then Atari figured out a way through the NES's lockout chip and decided to go the unlicensed developer route. There was a big legal hullabaloo, and as a result Gauntlet and #Tetris were stricken from the records as official licensed cartridges, and removed from later listings. (I presume that it's just "Tetris" in the listing, eliding which version of Tetris is meant.)
