Dave Rahardja<p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/GoodNews" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GoodNews</span></a>, everybody: Sales of the new <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Tesla" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tesla</span></a> Model Y refresh seems to be slower than expected. <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/TeslaTakedown" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TeslaTakedown</span></a> and other anti-Tesla sentiment seems to have soured the reception of these cars.</p><p>The Model Y is Tesla’s moneymaker, its bread-and-butter sales mover. If Model Y sales tanks, it’s bad news for the carmaker, and good news for the civilized world.</p><p>Anecdotally, I see very few new-generation Model Y here around the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/SFBA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SFBA</span></a>. You can tell the new ones because they have a solid light bar across their front (white) and back (red). I’ve only seen one or two in the last week, among an absolute *ocean* of (seemingly all white) Tesla Model Ys in the area. This is very good news.</p><p>If you see a Tesla with the solid light bars, feel free to scowl at their owners.
