OliverThis week our plan of walking three consecutive stages of the Eifelsteig was turned into reality and we started No. 4 which leads from Einruhr to Gemünd near Euskirchen, Germany. OliverEnter, the Dreimühlen waterfall near Nohn! It took nature quite a long time to create the waterfall and it is still doing so. Calcium is deposited here day by day, persistently creating wonderful formations - protruding an additional ten centimetres into the valley each year. You do the same as nature does and take your time here. Close your eyes and listen to the melodies of the enduring waters - enjoying a (possibly) overflowing stream! The eighth stage of the Eifelsteig runs from Mirbach to Hillesheim, the crime novel capital of the Eifel and this August we managed to hike the seventh and eighth stage - still seven to go until the city of Trier! OliverSo, with moving to another domain name and still lacking account migration in <a href="https://photos.skumring.com/tags/Pixelfed" rel="nofollow noopener" class="mention hashtag" target="_blank">#Pixelfed</a>, I have to start over. After 472 posts on my old instance, this one now moves to a <a href="https://photos.skumring.com/tags/Docker" rel="nofollow noopener" class="mention hashtag" target="_blank">#Docker</a>-ized approach, starting from the scratch - and despite moving posts wasn't on the schedule, even migrating followers simply went tits up. I loved the platform, I love the <a href="https://photos.skumring.com/tags/Fediverse" rel="nofollow noopener" class="mention hashtag" target="_blank">#Fediverse</a> but each new feature on Pixelfed kept being a complete surprise and, this time, I drawed a conclusion from this. Until then, going with Pixelfed was a great trip but also a crossroad, reminding me to stay on solid ground instead of trying each new feature as one of the first people out there... After 439 posts on my old instance, this one now moves to a <a href="https://pix.pifferi.io/discover/tags/Docker?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Docker</a>-ized approach, starting from the scratch - and despite moving posts isn't on the schedule, even migrating followers simply went tits up. I love the platform, I love the <a href="https://pix.pifferi.io/discover/tags/Fediverse?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Fediverse</a> but each new feature on Pixelfed keeps being a complete surprise and, sometimes, I may draw a conclusion from this. Calcium is deposited here day by day, persistently creating wonderful formations - protruding an additional ten centimetres into the valley each year.
