The New York Times · Idaho Shooting Suspect Identified in Deadly Ambush of FirefightersBy Christina Morales

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office has announced that the gunman, who ambushed several firefighters responding to a brush fire on Canfield Mountain near Coeur d'Alene in northern Idaho—killing at least two and injuring several others—was found dead by SWAT.

Listening to scanner traffic on Idaho firefighter ambush is tough. My father was a volunteer firefighter and I spent lots of hours listening to the radio coms of his calls: the voices of real people risking their safety to help others. Praying for those in harms way in Idaho. #Idaho #Firefighters
