Completed Intermission. NGL not only I enjoyed it more because Yuffie, but I also loved the bit in the end when the main party just hang out. It felt more genuine warmth than the entire FFXV's supposed best friends in a car. I just cannot hahahhahaha with Aeris trying to hitchhike by mimicking she's going to hit a passing car with her stick.

So when Sector 7 was dropped they also killed essentially all the middle class on it. Something I detest with both FFXIV and Remake, is that SE seems to be really confused about what players want when we choose to "lock on" a target.

Whatever it is, it's not randomly shifting through multiple targets based on whatever the shitty janky camera wants the centre to be.

It's not just Yuffie understood materia as a maladaptive short cut to Wutai's future, Barret's branch is technically the enemy of actual Wutai's Avalanche allies by this stage. Plus Yuffie didn't really differentiate Midgar civilians from Shinra at the point of early VII.

Not to mention, an ex Shinra SOLDIER is hardly a civilian by any standard.

Intermission is rapidly becoming one of my favourite gaming moment, despite FFVII original is one of my favourite games. While Cloud is trying and failing to pass as a normal person, Yuffie doesn't even try. I love how she also has the most westernised mannerism out of the entire cast.

Just occurred to me that this is also the first place I'm allowed into the actual Avalanche base, and meeting the Avalanche members that are not Barret, Tifa, Jessie, Biggs and Wedge. It always felt a bit weird to me how the "Avalanche branch" was ran out of Tifa's tavern underneath a pinball machine: but really what this is about, is Barret's branch of five people is essentially driven out of the main Avalanche organisation. Which tbh is fair.

I remember in mid 00s, my flatmate was absolutely convinced that Cloud, Yuffie, and Elena are secretly cousins, which explains their behaviours and traits. I more and more agree with this.

I also kinda forgot how young Yuffie is. She's like 13 or something based on my inaccurate recollection.

I just cannot get over how Yuffie is the top ninja-acrobat who can backflip onto a moving mechanical claw, but she can't climb a simple metal pole.

Though pretty sure she's the top ninja-acrobat because everyone else in her nation are massacred by Shinra

Yuffie's outfit is actually amazing, and I'm so happy to play as someone even less dignified than Cloud.
