Ich fühl mich im Büroalltag manchmal so: "Maybe you could just, uhh, shove me into the pool." Aber ohne Pool, ohne Drogen, mehr mit Listen und so.

My once every four years read of this started today. After the author’s note It starts in December of 1971. This is the first time I’ve read this copy. It’s a first edition first printing and in pretty good shape. #FearAndLoathing #HunterSThompson
I watched this again while sick last week. This scene is absolutely brilliant. It captures the madness of a serious acid trip so well.
“I couldn’t remember. The name rang a bell but I couldn’t concentrate. Terrible things were happening all around me. “
Several decades ago I was in the Worcester (MA, USA) public library looking for this book and I couldn't find it where I expected to be so I asked a librarian and she looked it up and said "oh yes, it's in the travel section".
And there it was.
Who played #huntersthompson better:
„History is hard to know, because of all the hired bullshit, but even without being sure of 'history' it seems entirely reasonable to think that every now and then the energy of a whole generation comes to a head in a long fine flash, for reasons that nobody really understands at the time—and which never explain, in retrospect, what actually happened”.
#FearandLoathing by the late #HunterSThompson. I love its wild take on the human experience!
