"The Tides · Of Life"
The creation of the sculpture

This video shows how the #sculpture was originally designed as a logo in #Softimage #XSI and rendered in different styles over the years

In 2024 we finally made it into the wall #lamp it always was supposed to be by 3D-printing it in four pieces on a #Creality #Ender 5 Plus

I need printing ideas, but I'm out of filament. What should I print out of a ton of TPU? It is mostly overture, some generic, and there is even most of a spool of sainsmart 95A in there. I just have no idea what to do with it. Each one has had a few prints off it, then stored in a dryish box.
I'll need to dry it before printing, and I dare not shove it through the AMS, so manual color changes only. I've put together a modular-enough drybox setup over the years though, so swaps are pretty easy.
I even have enough PETG to do hybrid prints.(Half of these colors are left over from when I jelly-fied the bottom of some PETG desk organizers to build non-scratch coasters into them.)

I think I assembled it mostly correctly? I found places for all the parts at least! Would appreciate if anyone has a twin #Ender 3 S1 Pro #3DPrinting machine I might cross check against. I apparently disassembled waaay past how it ships, so the instructions didn't do a lot for me. I went off of a partial CAD of the same model and a lot of guesswork.

Caveat, I bought this thing from a guy who had done some upgrades and I have no idea what those were. It worked before I packed it up though, so I hope it'll work again!

On my 5y old #Ender 3 the extruder started skipping and finally the hotend clogged. Thought about getting a new extruder which would cost >50€. Another thought was to stop the sunken cost fallacy and buy a Bambulab A1 mini.

Yeah... I can't stop tinkering and going for the low cost fix. Bought a bimetal heat break and some new PTFE tube.
Re-tuned the hotend PID values, pressure advance, accelerations and stepper currents.
It's going fast and the quality is good.

I totally understand now tho why people almost never have just 1 #3Dprinter. Last I had this fascination in something and the urge to own multiples of them, of various price points was when I was in college and getting hooked to building PCs.

I'd like legit not eat anything but dinner. My lunch, if any, would either be a glass of Teh O Ais or Chachos (Doritos clone) that I pay with change - all just to save up money to build more and more PCs. Now I wanna own a cheapo
#Easythreed printer, a mid-range #Ender printer, and either any of the premium #BambuLab printers (to upgrade upon my A1 Mini) or a #Prusa (if it's just as easy to use/maintain as BambuLab printers).

Filaments too, honestly. I need em in all colours and materials if I could afford the space.
