2 Line Eastside Bike Connector updated their map to include the new train stations opening today! If you’re seeing this on May 10th, you can go to the opening events!
Naturally, we’ve picked up the new version, and both Greater Northshore Bike Connector and MEGAMAP 1.7 – 10 May 2025 – are now available to download.
But this time, I have something to think about.
They've gone and changed their map key on me, and I'm not entirely sure what to do about that.

check this out:
Cyclists DO NOT WANT TO CROSS 99 at 212th. They REALLY don't. I checked some heat maps; it's VERY clear.
They want to go half a mile or more out of their way and cross at 208th, or a mile and a half via 228th.
Not wanting to cross 99 at 220th makes sense on the map. 220th interacts with I-5 in ugly ways not much further east. That's fine.
But 212th doesn't. There's infrastructure on either side of 99, albeit short a couple of blocks. And _people use that infrastructure_.
But they _don't_ leave it. And they _don't_ cross 99 there.
And I can't for the life of me tell you why from looking at maps.
They know something, though.
I wonder what.
Okay, it's starting to make some sense to me now

Had lunch at Yua Ramen right next to Ranch 99 Market in #Edmonds. We wanted to give that place a try because it's run by the family of one of our daughter’s preschool teachers. 
Too bad there were no cycle racks in that huge open space.

Kalani Peʻa last Sunday at the Edmonds Center for the Arts doing Hawaiian Christmas. Three-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter of Hawaiian music. A few nights ago we went to see Michael Cavanaugh (A Merry Rockin' Christmas) at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Not my first choice but we have season tickets here. He's an extremely talented musician. Sigh... it was okay but it was like a Vegas lounge show (and I hate Vegas).
