So when you begin down that road, there is a gravitational pull toward more and more authoritarianism.</p><p>Likewise, <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/polyamory" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>polyamory</span></a> and security are related. It's easier to be <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/polyamorous" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>polyamorous</span></a> if you feel <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/economically" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>economically</span></a> secure, or if you feel a child would be taken care of if it resulted. The more secure you feel the easier polyamory is. </p><p>Yet an easy way to feel secure in your relationship is to control it as intensely as possible. <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/Monogamy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Monogamy</span></a> creates (real or perceived) security, which countervails the many sources of insecurity in ones life.</p><p>The solution to all of these is to create <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/communities" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>communities</span></a> of mutual <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/trust" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>trust</span></a>. Yet, for most of us, the closest thing we have to such a <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/community" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>community</span></a> is <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/work" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>work</span></a> - work where the community dividends are appropriated for private profit.</p><p>Every solution leads back to forming <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/tribes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tribes</span></a>. Make communities where you know people personally and you have mutual trust and can engage in mutual aid. </p><p>Every day this becomes harder. Every day the forces around us close in; divide us. We come upon one another as strangers, and so every interaction is defect, or at best tit-for-tat. </p><p>Find a way, ANY WAY, to meet people that you enjoy engaging with face to face. This is the roots that fight fascism and crowd out the soil that keeps it from consuming us.</p><p>Then you have the <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/security" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>security</span></a> to create <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/compassion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>compassion</span></a>, and you spread the compassion, not the judgment.</p>
