When I was a teenager, our family #dog (the best #GoldenRetriever) had a stuffed rabbit he would carry around the house.
He didn't chew on it much, but over time he did nibble on it, and eventually it lost a foot. Mom sewed up the hole and gave it back.
Over the course of a few years, the favored rabbit similarly lost every distinguishing feature, until eventually it resembled nothing so much as a deeply wounded, fuzzy potato. He still loved it.
Such is the cost of a #doggos love.
