During my divorce in 2001, I asked this old guy who'd been married for 50 years how he did it. He said sometimes you wake up and hate the person next to you, sometimes they wake up and hate you, and sometimes you both wake up and hate each other. During those times, you have a choice: Talk about it and fix it or be miserable and let hate grow until divorce happens. He said the funny thing is, the more times you fix it, the deeper the love grows and the stronger the bond becomes. #divorce

It will be no surprise to you that after a divorce women are worse off than men... one of the key reasons for that is their inability to return (start) full time work.

A new Legal &General research report found women are twice as likely as men to reduce working hours after divorce to care for children & are more than twice as likely to report difficulties juggling work and childcare.

In other words, men more often (for whatever reason) do (even) less parenting after divorce.
