[Corrected] IPv4 addresses are scarce nowadays. When we apply for a static IP address from the ISP, they will certainly persuade us to choose IPv6-only services. If you want to get a server or an IP address of IPv6-only, will you try to do it and adapt to this evolving world? Or do you want to still make your infrastructure compatible with IPv4 by acquiring that as well?

My next goal is to maintain my Fediverse server for at least 24 hours. Achieving 24 hours of stable uptime on my self-hosted Fediverse server is the next milestone. This requires consistent monitoring and resource management, but it's a crucial step towards a reliable, humane online presence.

I find it difficult to see the value in paying a premium solely for a badge that signifies perceived authenticity and visibility on a corporate platform. I believe that our genuine selves shouldn't be subject to additional charges. As a result, I have decided to direct my support and resources elsewhere.

I just heard another renowned professor argue #Mastodon is too hard, even they failed. Choosing a server is simply too difficult.

And I'm wondering: how the heck does everybody have an email address?

I have a confession. I installed my Mastodon server software on my VPS that is marketed as a "storage" VPS. How awesome is that? It has a 1TB SSD anyway and 18GB of RAM, so why not increase the RAM usage?

Because of Mitra on my YunoHost being too manual (command-line method) to handle, which causes me to have different familiarity issues, I will switch back to Mastodon. See you guys there!
