INK<p><span>In case anyone is reading and trying to figure out how to remove Microsoft Edge from a fully updated Windows 11 install:<br><br>The guide listed below still works, but only once you downgrade Edge.<br><br>You can downgrade using winget. I used UniGetUI, which uses winget on the backend as well as other sources.<br><br>The version I tried is </span><code>124.0.2478.97</code><span>. Going too far back gives an error.<br><br>After that you need to execute this tool from an elevated command line prompt:<br><br></span><code>./vivetool /enable /id:44353396</code><span><br><br>(The program is available here):<br></span><a href="https://github.com/thebookisclosed/ViVe/releases" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://github.com/thebookisclosed/ViVe/releases</a><span><br><br></span><b>Reboot.</b><span><br><br>After that just add your country to the list of countries in the European Economic Area and mark them as eligible for uninstall. Veronica Olsen 🏳️‍🌈🇳🇴🌻<p>The dev tools for Android (adb) are really nice for uninstalling apps that cannot be removed from Settings &gt; Apps. I just removed 23 locked pre-installed apps from my Samsung phone. More or less all of them have been disabled for ages, so it is clear that they are not needed.</p><p>Bixby and the AR emoji suite were a ton of apps on their own, and they're all gone now. Vijay Prema<p>Having tried so many different gadgets and peripherals, nothing really beats the speed, flexibility and freedom of a simple timeless lightweight laptop.</p><p>Don't need an e-reader, tablet, stylus, 2-in-1 touch device, mechanical split keyboard etc and its liberating knowing I never will need one in future either.</p><p>I've noticed many of those kinds of devices are often full of lock-in too.
