They always grow really good when you're not ready to plant them out. This is all the squash, cucumbers, and melons. Everything good except one watermelon pot and I put more seed in it tonight in case the half sprouted thing doesn't grow a true leaf. They were all planted about 2 weeks ago.

One of everything or more is sprouted except the yellow crook-neck that were planted later. Maybe it will warm up enough for these to be planted out after next week.
The cucumbers came up tuesday (shown), some runner beans today, and tonight I saw some of the melons coming up and maybe something else. I didn't have heat under them, just under the lights, maybe 70-75F, 23C, on the surface when the lights are on.
I turned the heat mats on tonight, some of the pots were too wet and I don't want the squash or melons to take too long to come up. All saved seeds except squash.
Just some #garden photos taken during this morning's tour. Planting was completed just a few days ago, about two weeks later than normal, due to low overnight temperatures. Saw a Lebanese cucumber for 9.99 AUD in the supermarket today. Price for a single one, not for one kg!Couldn’t believe it, so I took a pic. Later this arvo I harvested a fresh heirloom organic cucumber from my hügelkultur veggie patch. Practically for free, if you don’t count the price for seedlings, time and effort. Growing your own food makes so much sense, with ever increasing prices more than ever! Better quality, better taste, and you get free exercise and nature therapy ;)

Made some of our family's Teochew #Cholon style, black pepper & soy braised pork with cucumbers & steamed rice. The braised sauce is great poured over rice & cucumbers. We are eating it with a small bowl of chicken pho flavoured broth soup with green onions, cilantro & bits of soft tofu(not pictured). Our family's #AsianBreakfast today

Ongoing soil remediation project is making slow & steady progress. Cardboard, topsoil, compost, woody debris, crushed seashells, seaweed, grass cuttings, leaf mulch are all breaking down together nicely.
