I posted to #LinkedIn, the hashtags of #FirstPrinciples and #CoreValues, and the video of Chris Murphy speaking about a U.S. permanent resident being “disappeared”, with text saying:
“The U.S. #Constitution protects the right to free speech.
“It is enshrined in the #FirstAmendment of the Bill of Rights.
“It even protects speech you don’t like.
“Especially speech you don’t like.”
Based on the post analytics after 9 hours, it appears shadow-banned.
C’mon fam
This is an oblique way of saying “we can’t be anti-fascist”, without actually articulating the #FirstPrinciples and #CoreValues they do stand for, such as #republicanism.
Weak sauce.
#CoreValues aren’t “core” until, and unless, they cost you something.
Friction - intellectual, emotional, or even physical - is a leading indicator of the #SunkCost.

4 General Character. Of course, no one is perfect and we lean into grace but sometimes it's easy to see where one candidate is trying harder to demonstrate selfless rather than selfish behavior. This includes a realistic look at how the candidate has handled his/her own family and interacted with the public in the past.
5 If a candidate is proposing restrictions to health care and education then that candidate is working in direct opposition to the Gospel.
6 A whole life approach to things in general. As opposed to merely “pro-life” this means an attitude that works towards solutions that make the choice for life more likely. So, things like universal child care, access to affordable health care, etc. are to be worked toward.
7 Specific to this election is a consideration of immigration. Here is what the Bible says about that: Leviticus 19:33-34: "When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.” (Note that this is a direct command from God.) I've been fired from more than a couple of jobs for not only refusing to follow unethical & immoral orders & have also had full out yelling/scream fights with super ignorant, hella privileged supervisors before, when they've been OK, exploiting underpaid employees. I'm no fucking robot. I fight for workers' rights - especially those with zero union protections. I won't just follow orders, if the orders violate all of my core values & ethics.
Jobs are replaceable - even if you end up working for lesser than you're used to.
My conscience is NOT replaceable.

4 months #CarFree! 
Didn't use my car much in the year before selling it. 
But, boy, was it a process to make that final decision! 
Since then I:
Walked & biked more for groceries 
Started regularly writing on the train
Saved already as much as half a new (nice!) bike
Made some new connections (car driving was lonely)
Love having the choice now of walking, biking, taking a bus or a train or some rental mobility.
