Two new things #today: Wanted to take a picture of the skyline because it wasn’t there(!) - couldn’t see the high rises on 7th from 8th, low fog. And my first ride on a subway car where all the banner ads were actually screens - they all changed to the same ad at one point.

Red Trousers on the Metro Steps

It was early in the morning on a lovely day in Madrid, Spain. I went out for an early walk to capture the comings and goings of the local population and chanced upon this woman coming out of the metro.

She probably made this journey hundreds of times. Hopefully, she’s still in Madrid.

The Land #Transport Authority (LTA) of #Singapore is increasing enforcement against disruptive #commuter behaviour to improve the commuting experience. Since December 2024, new signage has been introduced on public transport to encourage considerate actions, such as reducing noise and occupying only one seat. LTA and public transport operators (PTOs) have stepped up patrolling and enforcement. Commuters displaying nuisance behaviour, such as occupying multiple seats, can be fined up to $500, with more serious offences attracting penalties up to $5,000. Public bus operators have similar processes, with complaints handled by bus captains and the possibility of police involvement for serious cases. From 10 March 2025, new Conditions of Carriage will be introduced on buses, setting clear guidelines for commuter behaviour. LTA will continue to work with PTOs and community groups to promote better behaviour and ensure fairness for commuters with health conditions.

POODLE ATTACK LOL well almost
Walking to train, 44th near 8th, guy walking his little white poodle toward me. Without warning, poodle goes after my sneakers, is pulled back but I jump and scream like poof scream witch in w of oz. LOL ILNY I blame my bright white sneakers - pooch was jealous.
